Last Litter Program

HHAR Last Litter initiative is currently on hold as we desperately need more foster carers to enable us to take extra litters of kittens and pups into care.

Aim

The aim of the Last Litter program is to break the cycle of unwanted litters within the community.

Requirements

Owners of pregnant pets have to agree to surrender the entire litter of kittens or puppies to HHAR and we will have all of the vet work completed and put the kittens and pups up for adoption.

At the same time, we will organise and pay to have the mother cat or dog sterilised and then return the adult to their owner.

This is a win/win for the owners who often do not have the finances available to desex but then find themselves with extra costs associated with the unwanted and unplanned pregnancy/birth.

There are conditions that apply. Please complete the following form – which will be made available here when the program resumes.
